Tony Alexander Tony Alexander is Systems Administrator at the Museum's Center for Biodiversity and Conservation. With over 22 years of experience on the Macintosh platform, Tony is responsible for maintaining all CBC computers and peripheral equipment, as well as training CBC personnel in the use of hardware and software. He is also the Webmaster and Web Developer for the CBC website. Tony has a background in electronics, photography, graphic art, and desktop publishing. Prior to joining the CBC in 1999, Tony was a computer consultant to several Fortune 500 companies, the Director of Electronic Imaging for the New York Times Picture Desk, and was an air traffic controller while serving in the United States Marine Corps. Tony has a B.A. in Computer Science from the University of California at Irvine. He has studied programming and Web development languages such as Perl, Javascript, Applescript, HTML, Dynamic-HTML, XML, SQL and PHP. Tony knows the Unix and Linux operating systems and develops Web applications and databases on both platforms.
