Ho-Ling Poon

Ho-Ling Poon is responsible for updating the CBC website, and maintenance of resources for the Center for Biodiversity and Conservation and the Biodiversity Informatics Facility. She is also a web administrator of two Drupal sites for the Great Pollinator Project and for the Student Conference on Conservation Science New York (SCCS-NY). She provides assistance to the Systems Administrator in troubleshooting and maintenance of the CBC's Macintosh and Windows computers, and provides technical support to CBC staff members in using various Mac and Windows applications. Ho-Ling has a B.A. in Computer Science from Hunter College of the City University of New York, and an M.S. in Computer Science from Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences of New York University. Her studies of computer languages include C++, Java, XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, Perl, PHP/MySQL, Ruby on Rails and Unix Shell.

Ho-Ling is also a student of Traditional and Simplified Chinese writing system, Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese. She provides translations of Chinese descriptions for Amphibian Species of the World: An Online Catalog, of AMNH Herpetology.
